Request a workshop – Student supervisors

We ask that you give us at least 2 weeks notice on your request. If you have a workshop or presentation request without 2 weeks lead time we will do our best to accommodate you but cannot guarantee staff availability.
To request a workshop, simply fill out the form below and select “>>” at the bottom of the page. You should receive an email from a Career Center staff member within 2 business days. Officers of Administration Council: Strategic Leadership Forum
An interactive discussion designed to empower supervisors as educators and provide tools and resources to enhance their professional development and that of the students that they work with.

Audience: AVP’s to managers from academic and non-academic units
Session strength: 15-50 people

Intercultural communication workshop
A lively, interactive 2-hour workshop on how to navigate and bridge cultural differences among students. The workshop provides you an opportunity to examine your own as well as other cultures, learn about the perspectives of others, and navigate through the differences. It’s a fun 2 hour session that includes a mixture of discussion, presentations and activities and is held at the Mills International Center (in the EMU).

Introduction to SEE
Learn more about what SEE is and how you can incorporate the SEE essentials, enhancements, and strategies into your supervision practice.

We can meet individually or in a group to discuss your specific student employment experience/supervision. We can focus on one topic (training, recruiting, performance reviews, etc.) or on an area (mentoring, inclusion, learning-focused).
