Request a workshop – Student employees

We ask that you give us at least 2 weeks notice on your request. If you have a workshop or presentation request without 2 weeks lead time we will do our best to accommodate you but cannot guarantee staff availability.
To request a workshop, simply fill out the form below and select “>>” at the bottom of the page. You should receive an email from a Career Center staff member within 2 business days. Personal Branding
How to identify your brand & what it means in the job search—the good news, you already have a brand! Engage in this workshop to learn how you can be more intentional about your brand (how you present yourself to others). Identify the crucial elements of your brand and how it can help you in the job search.

Intercultural communication workshop
A lively, interactive 2-hour workshop on how to navigate and bridge cultural differences among students. The workshop provides you an opportunity to examine your own as well as other cultures, learn about the perspectives of others, and navigate through the differences. It’s a fun 2 hour session that includes a mixture of discussion, presentations and activities.

Resume & Cover Letter Writing
In this workshop we will discuss the specific skills your student employees are developing through their student employment experience and discuss ways to promote those skills in a resume and cover letter. In addition, we will cover the “basics” of resume and cover letter writing that can be applicable to any future job searches.

Learn some not-so-obvious LinkedIn features, get feedback on your profile, and leave with a profile worth sharing. In addition, learn ways to incorporate your student employment experience into your profile and how to best promote yourself on LinkedIn while a student.
